About the area
It's not a surprise that the town of Stockbridge has provided inspiration for many poets over the years – with its beautiful location and myriad of nearby attractions, there is much to do before you relax with a drink by the river.
It’s a haven for country lovers and not just fishing enthusiasts (though our river Test is famous for its trout!), with Longstock Park Water Garden nearby on the Leckford Estate and Houghton Lodge Gardens with gardens that provide colour throughout the season.
